Dedicated volunteers meet every week to assemble food boxes that are then transported to each of our six school districts in Madison, Union, and Clark Counties. Many children eat school breakfast and lunches. For some, it is not a guarantee that they will have something to eat for dinner. That’s where we come in. Providing evening meals the kids take home with them at the end of their school day. Our mission is that no child experience hunger after school.
No child is ever turned away. It is important to us that we support all the children in the household and therefore we provide extra boxes for students to take home to a younger sibling who isn’t of school age yet.
It is our goal to remove the barriers being food insecure can bring, so children are better able to focus on school and have every opportunity to succeed. This in turn helps our communities.
